Description

Unlike precious opal, this is an opaque type of opal. It has a solid yellow body color with black dendrites running through it.

I love the cut of this 27x27mm stone. I used copper to give this a unique handmade setting- as unique as the stone. After I gave it a patina, rubbed it down and polished it, I made a necklace with high quality Czech Picasso beads in shades of yellow and ocher. The ends are finished nicely with wire guards to protect the quality bead wire and topped off with a copper lobster claw clasp. This is adjustable from 18 to 20 inches or 45.7 cm to 50.8 cm. The pendant hangs 2 1/4 inches or 5.7 cm and can be removed from the necklace. This handcrafted necklace will come with a professional polishing cloth.
